Why packaging deserves the same attention as the product

Packaging is the last thing we control before a product reaches a customer, and often the first physical impression they form of the brand. Treating it as an afterthought wastes that moment.
Function first, then form
Packaging has to protect the product reliably before it can do anything else — we test for damage in transit before we finalise how something looks.
Restraint as a design choice
We favour simple, considered packaging over elaborate unboxing theatre, because restraint tends to age better and costs less to sustain at scale.
The environmental question
Packaging choices are also material choices. We weigh durability, recyclability, and actual customer disposal behaviour rather than optimising for a single sustainability claim.
Good packaging isn't decoration on top of the product — it's part of how the product is experienced.
